Patched Jeans: Kids Denim Jeans Trend with Major Swag
In a previous post, "Patched With Love," I shared that this spring's denim trend is all about DIY patchwork, rather than just the wash. I highlighted four fun DIY options for patching your child's denim with love. This patched denim trend started on the spring runways: Paul and Joe showcased floral and plaid patchwork, Alexander McQueen and Cavalera featured patched denim, and my personal favorite was Junya Watanabe’s denim with fringe (which is sold out everywhere at $755!).
Now, this trend has made its way into children's wear. This spring, you’ll find jeans for your little ones featuring prints, embellishments, doodles, splatters, and, of course, patches. While I still love the DIY approach of patching up worn-out playground knees, if your child’s jeans aren’t quite worn out enough to warrant patches, here are some cool, ready-to-wear patchwork jeans that will give your little one major swag this spring!
These H&M Loose-fit Jeans for girls or these similar H&M Slim Jeans for boys have heavily distressed patch details and adjustable elasticized waistband for your little one.
These Ralph Lauren Boys' Slim Fit Jeans are comfy cotton jeans with a distressed look of allover fading and intentional rips and repairs throughout.
These Zara RIPPED JEANS have rips and knee patch; your little one will have just the right amount of swag with these jeans in her wardrobe this spring.
These H&M Slim Jeans have heavily distressed patch details at front and adjustable elasticized waistband for your little one.
These Lucky Brand Girls' Patchwork Skinny Jeans have whiskering and patchwork details on the front legs, and will make a cool and unique outfit of your little one this spring.
These Ralph Lauren Girls Floral Patchwork Denim are an adorable pair of straight-fitting jeans with cool floral patches and allover distressed details.
AT thestyleline.com, Daily Candy's Style Buddha, Jenna Colombini, shares how fashion has shaped her life and shares tips on DIY including these FLANNEL PATCHWORK JEANS - INSPIRED BY JUNYA WATANABE. She created these Patched Jeans using an old pair of pajama pants and a dish towel! I think I have to DIY my own pair with some leather fringe at the hem as well!
